One of my favorite conferences is finally here–Virtual School Symposium (VSS) hosted annually by the International Association for K12 Online Learning (iNACOL). If you work in the K12 online arena (teachers, administrators, legislators, policymakers & researchers), this is the conference for you. We’re starting on Sunday at the Hilton in downtown Austin. Jerry will be manning the BSU Dept. of EdTech booth in the exhibit hall, and I’ll be doing three presentations on Monday (it’s a long story).
- 10:30 CT Going Virtual III! Effective Professional Development of K-12 Online Teachers, with Kerry Rice
- 1:45 CT How Synchronous Tools and Strategies Won Our School a Grant, with INSPIRE Connections Academy
- 4:15 CT Exploring linkages between research, policy, and practice in K-12 online teacher professional development, with Kerry Rice, Cathy Cavanaugh & Michael Barbour
For those of you who can’t attend in person, use the VSS Overlay to participate, or better yet, login for live streaming at iNACOL’s new plot on CAVE Island in Second Life, managed by our department! You can find the times and venue on the Overlay. Hope to see you there!
